Partner Highlight - Riverside San Bernardino Counties Indian Health, Inc.

Our partner highlight of this week is one that many of you may already be familiar with, the Riverside San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc. (RSBCIHI) clinic system. Founded in 1968 on the Morongo reservation, the system is now the largest Indian Health program in the state of California. In all, RSBCIHI is now made up of an affiliation of over 9 tribes in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

The clinic system offers a variety of services to Native Americans in our region from dental care, behavioral health care, diabetes care, and pharmacological services to name a few. And these are just the medical services! RSBCIHI also provides a multitude of community outreach programs focused on building healthy families, outreach on various awareness topics such as MMIP (Missing and Murdered Indigenous People), and fitness education. Many of these various programs intersect with our work at the Cahuilla Consortium. We not only mutually refer clients between our programs; however, but we also have two staff members from the RSBCIHI staff who serve as advisors to the Cahuilla Consortium’s operations. As a service provider, we are grateful for the many services and increasing partnership that the CCVAP has with the Riverside San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc.
